One of the most beloved horror games of all time! This franchise is one of the horror games that are still terrifying despite its age. It was great in it’s time and still great now. If you want to know what the hype is all about, the game is free to download until 28 Jan 1a.m. (+8 GMT). It’s not just one game, but two! This includes: Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs and Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Check it out on Humble Bundle.
What Is The Amnesia Collection?
The bundle consists of the two games in the collection. Both games are survival horror games set in the 19th century. The first game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent is horrifying adventure wrapped in layers and layers of mystery. You play as Daniel, a man from London who has lost his memories for some creepy and mystical reason. All you know is that you’re being hunted.
The second game, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, has nothing to do with the first game. Although it is also set in the 19th century with a similar artstyle; however, the theme is a little more violent as you do play as a butcher. In terms of storyline and mood, it is much more lacking compared to the first installment. Though the first game is not as graphically pleasing as the first game, many still prefer the first one. There’s just too many things happening in the second one! Just play the games are you’ll see what I mean. It may have something to do with the fact that the developers of the first game did not develop the second game.
In terms of popularity as well, The Dark Descent is still more talked about than A Machine For Pigs. The good news is that they’re both free!
