League of Legends Patch 7.15 A.K.A Urgot’s Big Break

League of Legends patch 7.15 may just be the most anticpated League patch of 2017. Why? Two words. Knee. Shotgun.

1. Urgot The Dreadnought

We were never sure about where or how to play Urgot. His kit made him an awkward ADC-Tank-thing so not many players would pick him up. But now with his new rework, he slides quite well into the new agressive top lane meta. The biggest relief? His ult may finally be viable. It looks brutal too.

2. Dr. Mundo’s Masochism

Dr. Mundo is now extremely magic resistant. Before, he was a big, hulking, healing target on the map. Now, he’s a big, hulking, healing and magic resistant target on the map as he now stacks magic resistance everytime he takes magic damage. It stacks up to 15 times with a 2% increase each time.

3. Nasus’s Spirit Fire

Nasus is the opponent that scales out of control if you leave him alone. Now, he’s even scarier with the changes to his E – Spirit Fire. Now instead of the flat number increase of 20/25/30/35/40 of armor reduction, it’s now a percentage increase of 15/20/25/30/35. This means that Nasus is capable of tearing a hold right through your frontline.

4. Kayn Gets Buffed

As some of you may know, the star of the previous patch ended up being a big flop. He was a buggy, mediocre damaging champion– but his hair was fantastic. He had the agility to go all in but not the damage to actually kill anything. Developers are now buffing his attack scaling as well as fixing a fair number of bugs in hopes of bringing him into the meta.

5. Duskblade of Draktharr Nerfed

We kind of saw it coming. The ultimate assasssin’s buy in the game since patch 7.14 has been dulled. The Duskblade’s damage has been scaled back and the Nightstalker proc no longer slows targets for ranged champions.

6. The New Game Mode!

League of Legends is constantly being criticized for its lack of creative gamemodes. No one plays Dominion so it doesn’t exist. This is the new 5 v 5 mode. The goal is to be the team that gets to 200 points first. It may not be any better than Dominion but the game mode is not here to stay. It’s only available from 7/28/17 12:00 PT – 8/1/17 04:00 PT and 8/4/17 12:00 PT – 8/8/17 04:00 PT.

That’s all you need to know for the 7.15 patch! Happy gaming, summoners!
