New weapon and weather!
There will be no vaulting in the PUBG September patch, sadly. According to the developers, the algorithm to implement this particular feature is quite complex. However, they will continue to work on it, internally. They mentioned that they are considering adding it to the test server sometime in early November.
“Some of the key features of the new build include a new weapon, foggy weather condition, FPP leaderboards and multiple bug fixes.” – Bluehole
Players will also be glad to know that the developers are taking action against idle players, they can no longer earn BPs. As for the addition of FPP only servers, OCE is getting theirs but only for DUO. They will continue to monitor for SOLO and SQUAD mode to determine the addition of another game mode.
In order to celebrate 1 million + concurrently connected users, PUBG is adding the foggy weather into the game. The foggy weather will serve to bring a different kind of experience to players for sure. Just like the rainy maps, the foggy weather will hinder player’s sight on the map. There’s also a new town, East of Stalber, for players to play in.
As for the new weapon, there’s no confirmation yet if it’s a crate spawn or world spawn. The Mini-14 is a semi-automatic marksman rifle that utilizes sniper rifle attachments for both its muzzle and magazine slots but can use any type of optic sight. In terms of damage, the Mini-14 has lower stats than other DMR and to compensate, it has very high muzzle velocity and low bullet drop.
As usual, they also added a bunch of optimisation and a whole lot of bug fixes. There’s also changes to the UI/UX, gameplay and actions. Most notably, Tommy gun has been removed from Care Packages and is now a world spawn. For more information, you can check out the full patch note here.
