Three adults have been added to the PGCB’s Involuntary Casino Exclusion List for leaving minors unattended in vehicles while gambling. In a specific incident, officials detailed that a male and female patron left two children aged 11 and 12 unattended in a vehicle outside Hollywood Casino Morgantown. The adults spent over 30 minutes engrossed in gambling, oblivious to the potential risks faced by the children alone in the parking lot. In another case, a female patron abandoned three children, ages 2, 6, and 12, in a car at Hollywood Casino York while she indulged in slot machines and table games for an equivalent amount of time.
The PGCB has reinforced that such negligence leads to the revocation of statewide gambling privileges. The regulator emphasized the importance of safeguarding minors, pointing out that leaving children in casino environments unsupervised is not only irresponsible but also perilous. The placement on the Involuntary Casino Exclusion List prohibits these individuals from participating in any form of gambling across Pennsylvania’s casinos, online platforms regulated by PGCB, or Video Gaming Terminal locations.
